Our Story

We Fell in Love in Fort Collins

Our story began in Fort Collins in 2019 when two Colorado State students crossed paths and kept choosing each other.

Since then, we’ve built a life in Denver full of laughter, good friends, great food, and plenty of time outside, especially in winter when city mornings turn into ski days.

We celebrated our engagement in Nederland, CO, a place that feels like home to us. We love exploring the world together, from Mexico to Japan to Colombia, but Colorado will always be our heart.

We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you and can’t wait to make memories together that we’ll treasure forever.

Q + A

Important Note Regarding RSVPs

We’ve been made aware that The Knot is experiencing issues with RSVP lists. If you are unable to locate your invitation or access your RSVP, please reach out to us directly and we’ll be happy to assist. Additionally, if your RSVP appears multiple times, we kindly ask that you submit your response only once to help avoid duplicate entries. We have contacted The Knot’s support team regarding these issues, but they have been unable to provide a resolution at this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding—we appreciate it and look forward to celebrating with you!

What is the dress code?

We invite guests to wear formal attire with a touch of mountain elegance. Please keep in mind there is a long, unpaved path to the ceremony, so boots, closed-toe shoes, or a walkable heel are encouraged. We can’t wait to celebrate together, so please choose something that feels both special and practical for the mountain setting.

Is there anything we should know before heading to Colorado?

Yes, our venue is located at 11,200ft! If you’re sensitive to altitude, consider arriving a day or two early to acclimate. Staying well-hydrated, eating regular meals, taking it easy your first day in town, and pacing yourself with alcohol (one drink can feel like two at elevation) can help you feel your best.

Where should we stay?

We suggest staying in Copper Mountain, so you’ll be just a short walk from all of our wedding events. Hotel block details can be found on the Travel page. If you’d like a change of scenery, nearby towns like Frisco, Dillon, and Breckenridge are also wonderful options to stay in or explore.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to many factors, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids invited?

Although we love your little ones, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone's children at our wedding due to restricted numbers and space. Please make childcare arrangements and have a date night celebrating and dancing with us!

Where is the ceremony?

Our ceremony will be held at the Aerie. You’ll take the American Eagle chairlift or gondola from Center Village up to the venue. There will be signage along the way to guide you.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be held outdoors, with the reception indoors afterward. Mountain weather can change quickly, so we recommend bringing a light layer to stay comfortable. In August, daytime temperatures at Copper Mountain are usually in the mid-60s, with evenings dipping into the 30s.

What airport should I fly into, and how do I get to Copper Mountain?

Please fly into Denver International Airport (DIA). From there, Copper Mountain is about a 1.5-hour drive west. Guests can rent a car, book a shuttle, or take an Uber/Lyft directly to the resort. The drive is a beautiful one straight along I-70 West, and signage for Copper Mountain is well marked once you’re close. The Summit Express Shuttle is about 2.5 hours from DIA to Copper Mountain (www.summitexpress.com).

Is there free parking?

Yes, parking is free at Copper Mountain Resort. Closest Parking Lots: Ten Mile Lot, Chapel and Beeler

Anything else we should know?

Please note that Ubers can be unreliable in this area. Luckily, there are free shuttles that run throughout Copper, and the full schedule is available online on the Copper Mountain Resort website. Below is an additional link for a shuttle service in the area: www.jakesmountainshuttle.com There is also a free shuttle across summit county (more info below): www.summitcountyco.gov
